e-Visa India is only responsible for processing your tourist visa application for India. The documents and details submitted online by you here are checked by our application processing officers at our e-Visa India office in New Delhi, India. You can also apply directly with the Indian Government by visiting and submitting the original passport and other documents at the nearest Indian consulate in foreign countries or by submitting the application on their website online. All foreign nationals travelling to India must have a valid passport and a print out of the e-tourist visa approval sent to
their email before leaving the country
they are travelling from. All tourist are requested to apply for the e-tourist visa through the online e-tourist visa link.
The visa result shall be emailed 110 days prior to your expected arrival date in India if you have applied more than 120 days in advance. If your application is submitted within 120 days prior to your expected arrival date in India then your visa result shall be emailed within 4 to 7 business days (Excluding Saturdays, Sundays and Indian public Holidays) from the date of submission. If your travel is within 4 days then your visa result shall be emailed in maximum 3 business days. To avail the fast track service, your travel date must be after 72 hours from the time you have submitted and paid against the application. All the processing times are valid after receipt of the appropriate documents against each individual application. e-Visa India will not be responsible for any delay in the process due to non-availability of proper documents. Our delivery time starts after the application is complete with all the information and documents required to process the same.The delivery times are not applicable for Sri Lankan and Chinese Passport Holders. For these nationalities the delivery time is 5 business days in case of urgent processing and 10 business days in case of normal processing. Once the fee is paid against the application, it is non-refundable.
For obtaining the e-tourist visa, visitors would only need to upload a scanned copy of the front page of the original passport and a digital photograph with white background which can be taken at home with your digital camera or camera phone. It must be with a white background. Please make sure your have these documents ready on your system, laptop, IPAD or smart phone before you start filling the application form because you will be required to upload them with the application. Visa fees are non-refundable.
For urgent visa approval you can choose the express services by paying extra charges in case of urgent travels. Urgent e-tourist Visa can be obtained in 24 hours in case of urgent travels after paying the relevant charges. Please contact customer care number if you need any assistance with it.
Visa fees are 100% non-refundable. Approval or rejection of the visa application depends on the decision of the Government Immigrations department. Your application may be rejected by them and please be informed that the authorities are not liable to provide any reason against the rejection. In any case after submission of application the visa fee is non-refundable.

• Scanned copy of the Front Page of the original Passport which has the personal details with the photograph.
• A digital photograph with white background with your head in centre. Please remove all the accessories and glasses from the face while taking the picture.
You are welcome for the e-Tourist Visa facility if your “sole objective of visiting India is recreation,
sightseeing, casual visit to meet friends or relatives, short duration medical treatment or casual business visit.
You should have a return ticket as well as enough money to spend during your stay in India. You will be required to
disclose the name and address of the person you are
visiting or the name and address of any one hotel where you will be staying during your visit.
When you arrive at one of sixteen airports - Bangalore, Chennai, Cochin, New Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Gaya, Jaipur, Lucknow, Tirchy, Varanasi and Trivandrum - you'll need to present your electronic travel authorization, and have your biometric details recorded at immigration.

The Official Indian Visa may be granted for a stay in India, permitted for a duration varying from 60 to 180 days from the date of arrival depending on the category of visa applied for and the decision of the Government of India. The visa is generally valid for 120 to 365 days from the date of issue and it must be availed within its validity period. The Indian e-Tourist visa for any purpose shall be a multiple entry visa and the number of entries allowed shall be know and mentioned on the granted visa letter as it is solely decided by the Indian Government. e-Visa India is valid for entry through 28 designated Airports (i.e. Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bagdogra, Bengaluru, Bhubaneshwar, Calicut, Chennai, Chandigarh,Cochin, Coimbatore, Delhi, Gaya, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Madurai, Mangalore, Mumbai, Nagpur, Portblair, Pune, Tiruchirapalli, Trivandrum, Varanasi & Visakhapatnam) and 5 designated seaports (i.e. Cochin, Goa, Mangalore, Chennai & Mumbai). However, the foreigner can take exit from any of the authorized Immigration Check Posts (ICPs) in India. Indian Government reserves the authority to the grant or reject the Indian Visa.
. e-Tourist Visa India (eTV) is valid for minimum two entries against each visa issued and you can apply only thrice in a calendar year.
. One recently clicked passport size photograph with white background, to be uploaded along with the photo page/first page of the applicants Passport containing personal details like name, date of birth, nationality, expiry date etc. Utmost care regarding the photograph clarity and other specifications should be taken while uploading with the application, failing to which might cause rejection of the application.
. The applicant must carry a copy of the eTourist Visa along with him/her at the time of travel.
. On arrival in India the biometric details of the applicant will be mandatorily captured at Immigration. The applicant's entry is at the sole discretion of the Immigration officer at the India Airport who is a representative of the Government of India.
. e-Visa is valid for entry through 25 designated Airports (i.e. Ahmadabad, Amritsar, Bagdogra, Bengaluru, Calicut, Chennai, Chandigarh,Cochin, Coimbatore, Delhi, Gaya, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mangalore, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Tiruchirapalli, Trivandrum, Varanasi & Visakhapatnam) and 5 designated seaports (i.e. Mumbai, Chennai, Cochin, Goa and Mangalore). However, the foreigner can take exit from any of the authorized Immigration Check Posts (ICPs) in India.
. The Tourist eTV once when issued is non-extendable, non-convertible & not valid for visiting Protected/Restricted and Cantonment Areas.
